1 Corinthians 2: 1-2 And I, bretheren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. |
Wake up every morning,

Kids are kids all the same,

Shameful Saint
Here I stand, awe struckin' at hand
I knew that I was washed
He searched the pages
My joy quickly turned to mystery
I heard an old wise friend of mine say
I will live on streets of Gold
Judgment Day
Sitting by myself
::chorus::
Look at him praising his God,
::chorus 2::
Starting Fresh
When I think about all the things of my flesh,

Now I hear you say that you have a bad life,

Eat my breakfast, take a shower,
Dress to be my own character
Might not fit in with the popular crowd.
Defending the old Tiger pride,
Jocks with girls right by their side,
They don’t want to talk to me,
Debase heart and personality.
But I’m not crying over your rejection,
Cuz you’re no better than I.
Laugh at me, I’m just like you,
But you act like we’re from different schools.
Differences in appearances
If you wanna fight, then a fight you’re gonna get!
But growing up you act like everything’s changed.
Rival schools because of rival youth,
Who started this whole thing of looking cool?
Now we stand here, face to face,
No differences between us except a single pace.
Fury burning behind your eyes,
You better turn around there’s a big surprise!
I didn’t come here to toss some fists with you.
I came here to get your back and fight for you.
You better back up cuz Satan’s mean,
He’s gonna throw a fit when I scream … “Jesus!”
Laugh at me, I’m just like you,
Except God’s got my back, He’ll get yours too.

Thinking back at a life well spent
I knew of my purpose and I knew of my maker
Not just a body that was bought for rent
I read my Word, and found my need
The world was my planting field, for me to bury a seed
Been redeemed at the age of ten
I had a Christian punk rock band
One filled with joy, my life had been
And now I stand at the great cross roads
One leads to Heaven, the other to eternal strife
I look to Saint Peter, with a confident voice
Is my name written in that Lambs Book of Life
My life flashing before me
Was I good enough, strong enough
Or was it just not meant to be
His finger swiftly scanning the flock
The whole place was quiet
As his finger came to a stop
He looked down at me with over-whelming authority
Saying, "Son, I have good news, your welcome for eternity."
My body filled with peace over-whelming
My eyes filled with tears heart melting
As I turned to face the impossible accurance
As I saw my old friend from school
He had sat next to me in History
I cant describe the feeling I felt
What was it, the cause, I didnt know the motive
His eyes filled with tears just then, to his knees he knelt
Those weren't tears that I had had
In them were cries of pain and helplesness I felt
There is no guilt in Heaven
But one thing that he never said
Was is it possible at the Gates of Heaven
My freind finaly said to me
Why did you not warn me when you saw me in my sin?
Just a little word would have helped
I guess I was wrong to call you a friend
But he will forever rot, and mold
Eternity in Hell he must pay
It was his decision, but mine in a way

In the back of the class,
Disregarded by all my peers,
Treated like dirt or a piece of trash.
Is it the way I look-
Or the perfect figure I have not?
Am I what they tell me-
A nobody for them to mock?
Why do they kick me while I'm down,
And stone me with their play?
Jesus knows just how I feel,
He stood in front of death that day.
What has his Jesus done for me?
He rambles on of how he's saved,
Something about the dead, and a third day.
Everything's up in a haze,
But nothing gets him down.
He tells me that the end is near.
Awaiting me is judgment day.
Life is so cruel, but God is so real.
You won't give Him a chance,
He knows just how you feel.
I'm not trying to get you down,
God's trying to lift you up.
Judgment day is coming soon.

I ask God for forgiveness and to start out fresh.
That's all.
That's it.
That's all I have to say,
Because I know the Lord Jesus saved me that way.
He died for me, He died for you.
That's what I'll show, and you'll believe it's true.
If you know me, it's Him you'll know.
We merit ourselves as something.
We show that we are our own.
But when the tough times role in,
We find we've shown nothing alone.
Without God we are naught,
And existence is about to bust
Another death after we've killed ourselves.
So let's just discard our lusts
And serve Him.
But who says that we won't have our strives?
And why do we act like we deserve,
When we should be in a cardboard box on the curb,
With nothing but only our soul,
In the dark,
In the lost,
In the cold?

You say you can never amount to grace,
It wouldn't take much to fill your place.
You are so special in His eyes,
He couldn't stand living without you; so he died.
He is the vine, you are the branches.
Be one with Him and He will dwell in you.
Accidents don't happen, mistakes are never made.
The one who loves you has a purpose for everything.
You say your the worst creation on earth,
Your life was a waste ever since your birth.
He made you with a vision in His mind.
Give your all to Jesus, and your purpose you will find.
Doors will be opened, doors will be closed.
Don't turn your back if they stub your toe.
God has a reason for every step you make.
He died for every single breath you take.
Your so special in His eyes.
He couldn't stand living without you, so He died.
He made you with a vision in His mind.
Give your all to Jesus and your purpose you will find.
(soft) Never say you'll never amount to grace...
